Pre-Departure Checklist
Important Documents
- Passport / ID
(check it’s valid for your full stay)
- Visa documents
(if required)
- Flight details / e-tickets
- Emergency contact details
(saved in your phone and written down
- Accommodation details
(address + contact number)
Phone & Connectivity
- Make sure your phone is unlocked
(if you plan to use a local SIM/eSIM)
- Download WhatsApp
(we use this as a messaging platform in Ireland)
- Save key contacts
(school office / emergency number / accommodation contact)
Arrival Day Prep
- Screenshot your transfer instructions / meeting point details
(check it’s valid for your full stay)
- Have your first-night address ready to show at immigration
(if asked)
- Keep key documents in your hand luggage
(not your checked bag)
Clothing & Shoes
- Comfortable clothes for classes and activities
(if you plan to use a local SIM/eSIM)
- A light rain jacket or hoodie
(very important!)
- Warm layers – even in summer
(we use this as a messaging platform in Ireland)
- Comfortable walking shoes or trainers
(school office / emergency number / accommodation contact)
- Small umbrella
(optional, but handy)

Tech & Gadgets
- Chargers for all devices
- Plug adaptor
(Ireland uses Type G – the same as the UK)
Money & Payments
- A small amount of cash for the first day
(snacks, top-ups, etc.)
- Debit/credit card
(make sure it works abroad)
- Let your bank know you’re travelling
(to avoid card blocks)
