Application Steps

Identify the DCU Bachelor degree programme that you wish to study.
See DCU Prospectus 2027.

The deadline for undergraduate applications is 1 July

Submit your application on the application form. Please ensure that all sections of the application form are completed accurately.

Your application will be assessed and if eligible you will receive a firm offer to study on the Foundation programme and a conditional offer for your chosen undergraduate degree at DCU. The exit grades required will be listed on the DCU degree offer. 

Successful completion of your foundation programme by reaching the required exit grades will allow for progression to your chosen DCU undergraduate programme as per your offer letter.

Visa Information

  • Visa requirements can change, so please check the official Irish Immigration website for the most up-to-date information.
  • Even if you do not need a visa, you may be asked to provide supporting documentation at immigration (such as proof of course enrollment, accommodation details, return flight, and evidence of sufficient funds).
  • A visa (where required) allows you to travel to Ireland but does not automatically guarantee entry. Final permission to enter is granted by an immigration officer on arrival.
  • Once course fees have been paid, DCUIA will provide documents you can use to apply for an Irish visa.
